Medisage helps you and your family store, organise and understand medical records — prescriptions, lab reports, scans, medication schedules and health readings. To do this, we handle personal data, including health information, which the DPDP Act treats as personal data deserving careful protection.
Who's who under the DPDP Act
- You are the "Data Principal" — the person the data is about.
- Medisage is the "Data Fiduciary" — we decide why and how your data is processed, and we are accountable for protecting it.
- "Data Processors" are the service providers who process data on our instructions (for example, cloud hosting and AI analysis providers).
What health data we handle
Depending on what you choose to add, this can include:
- Medical records, prescriptions and lab reports you upload
- Diagnostic images and scans
- Medication lists and reminder schedules
- Health readings you log (blood pressure, sugar, weight, and similar)
- Profile details for you and family members you add
Beta note: during the private beta, sample and test data should not contain real patient information.
We process this data only on the basis of your consent, or where the law otherwise permits, and only for the purposes described in this notice.
