Health records are the most sensitive data a family has. Here is exactly what we do to protect them — and what we don't yet do. We'd rather tell you plainly than hide behind badges.
TLS 1.3 for everything moving between your phone and our servers; records are encrypted at rest on our managed database and storage.
Row-level access rules are enforced by the database itself, not just by application code — so one account can never read another family's records, even if a bug slips through.
Family caregivers get only the permissions you grant — view, modify, or mark doses taken — and you can revoke access at any time. Every action is logged.
We build to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 — your right to access, correct, and delete your data, and to withdraw consent.
Medisage is not end-to-end encrypted today. To read a prescription photo or explain a blood report, our servers have to process that document — so we can technically access it, and saying otherwise would be dishonest. We hold no third-party security certification (such as SOC 2) either; that's an audit we haven't completed. Client-side encryption for stored documents is on our roadmap, and we'll say so here the day it ships.
